WorkCover Appointments

If you’ve been injured at work, your first appointment with one of our GPs will be to assess your injury and discuss your claim. It’s important to understand that WorkCover claims are not automatically accepted at this stage. Together, you and your doctor will talk through the best next steps for your care – which may include continuing your treatment with an Emerald Medical Centre GP, or being referred to a specialist WorkCover clinic if that’s more appropriate.

Please note that patients are responsible for payment of their account until liability is formally accepted by your employer or a claim number is issued by the insurance company. Once a claim number is in place, we can bill the insurer or employer directly.

Appointments related to WorkCover will be privately charged outside the hours of 12pm–4pm weekdaysand on Saturdays.
