Cervical screening every five years for women and people with a cervix aged 25 to 74. Book with a GP or our nurse, or self-collect in the privacy of our clinic.
Cervical Screening at Emerald Medical Centre
Cervical screening helps protect against cervical cancer by testing for human papillomavirus (HPV), the cause of almost all cervical cancers. It’s recommended every five years for women and people with a cervix aged 25 to 74, even if you’re no longer sexually active or have had the HPV vaccine.
You can choose to have your test taken by one of our GPs or by Amy, our Nurse Cervical Screening Provider, or you can collect your own sample in the privacy of our clinic.
If you have symptoms such as unusual bleeding, pain or discharge, please book with a GP rather than self-collecting, as you may need a different test.
To book, call (03) 5968 4622 and let our reception team know you’d like a cervical screening appointment.
